Thank you for voting Colonial House of Flowers Best Florist in the Statesboro Herald Best of the Boro Contest 2014.
There’s something magical about Statesboro. You know it’s true. For us, there’s something special about being here since 1968. Thank you for welcoming us into your homes, businesses, events, weddings, funerals, and hearts all these years.
We work so hard, putting every single thing we have into every single thing we do. It means long hours some days. It means giving up time with our family and friends to make things for you. It means researching, making mistakes, learning, growing, and creating awesome. This really is an honor for our little shop. We appreciate you very, very much.
Thank you, Statesboro.
The allure of getting- there is sometimes as great as the final station. The little things along the way are the beautiful ones. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “life is a journey. Not a destination.” In the case of weddings, we share this value, finding the adventure of arriving at the resting place as pretty as the haven of the vows.
Please join our wandering and wayfaring as we travel down the aisle. Listen to the peacefulness, watch the calm, touch the quiet, smell the gentle harmony while deep amid the absorption of the ravishing splendor of the promenade.
Here’s to wedding aisles. Here’s to basking in the march to the treasured nuptial exchange.
Here’s to you, Ralph Emerson for your inspiring words have pleasantly altered our perspective.

It’s true, we always admire great paint. So for today’s feature, we decided to take inspiration one of our favorite painters, Charleston’s Lulie Wallace. Have you seen her gorgeous paintings (above)? The floral scenes Lulie paints offer a grand opportunity to indulge in our love of bright pinks, greens and yellows, simplicity and beauty. Better, we had the chance to meet the artist at a Southern Supper — she’s as sweet and light as her artwork is inspiring. And, we just love to feature nice people who create amazing pieces.
Have a great day!
all of us at the Colonial House
* Grace Bonney also finds Lulie’s work inspiring. She featured her, too.
